The English club 'Manchester United' has officially approached 'Aston Villa' with an offer concerning the transfer of Argentine national team goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. The coaching staff of the 'Red Devils' is searching for a replacement for Andre Onana.
The negotiations between the Premier League clubs have reached an advanced stage, reports talkSport.
'Manchester United' has long been dissatisfied with the performance of the team's main goalkeeper. Andre Onana's injury has finally pushed the club to look for a new goalkeeper.
'United' is ready to offer 'Villa' an amount in the range of 25-30 million pounds, hoping to reach a compromise considering the age of the Argentine goalkeeper. Emiliano Martinez's contract with the Birmingham club runs until the summer of 2029.
For 'Aston Villa', selling Martinez could be financially justified: the club feels the pressure of financial rules. A replacement for the Argentine has already been found. Earlier, information surfaced that Emiliano would continue his career in one of the Saudi clubs, but 'MU' is ready to make the goalkeeper a more attractive offer.
The reports that 'Manchester United' is interested in the transfer of Emi Martinez from 'Aston Villa' indicate active actions by the club in the transfer market. Both clubs are at the final stages of negotiations, which could lead to talks and the conclusion of a deal between the parties. Emiliano Martinez could become the new goalkeeper of 'Manchester United', strengthening the team in its battle on various fronts.Read also
