The Cabinet of Ministers regulates the issuance of passports to Ukrainian citizens who are abroad

From next week, men will be able to obtain Ukrainian passports while being abroad. This information was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

According to Klymenko, men aged 18 to 60 who submit their documents by April 25, 2024, to the State Enterprise 'Document', will be able to receive their produced passports from next week. They will receive notifications containing the date, Time, and place where they can pick up their documents. These notifications will be sent in the order of document submission.

The minister noted that to unify the process of resuming the issuance of documents, it was necessary to ensure that this process complies with current legislation.

Moreover, Klymenko reminded that a mandatory condition for issuing passports to men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad is the presence of military registration documents.

From January 1, 2025, the PolygraphCombinate 'Ukraine' changed the cost of certain biometric documents, which led to an increase in the total cost of issuing a Ukrainian citizen's passport in the form of an ID card and temporary and permanent residence permits in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that earlier 'Ukrposhta' launched a service to deliver foreign passports to 134 countries for a fixed fee of $6 plus 10 UAH VAT, significantly reducing the cost of this service compared to previous prices.

Additionally, the cost of service packages for passport and migration services in the divisions of the State Enterprise 'Document' has changed in Ukraine.

Ukrainians living or working in Poland should be aware of the expiration dates of their documents to avoid issues with residence, employment, or social benefits.
