Champion of Ukraine in athletics died at the front.
Ukrainian sports has lost one of its brightest representatives – athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk, who died at the front serving in the National Guard of Ukraine. At the age of 26, he had already become a champion and prize-winner of the Ukrainian championships, leaving behind a widow and a small daughter. The athletics federation remembered Rymaruk as a dedicated athlete and a hero who sacrificed his life for his country.
We express our deep condolences to the family of this hero and thank him for his courage and dedication. Thanks to people like him, we have a chance to live and continue to fight. Together with Rymaruk, a military man who saved his comrades, as well as a famous choreographer and ballet master, died at the front. Their loss is a great loss for Ukrainian sports and culture, but their deeds will remain in the memory of descendants as an example of dedication and courage that inspires honoring the memory of fallen defenders of the country.
