Registration up to 25 years old: changes in military registration introduced in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Reintegration has announced that Ukraine is introducing experimental changes in military registration. According to the adopted resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, a project on automatic verification and checking of information about conscripts, military personnel, and reservists was approved. The changes will affect the military registration of conscripts, document checks abroad, and the formation of lists of citizens subject to military registration.
According to the innovations, boys aged 17 to 25 will be registered for military service without undergoing a military medical examination, regardless of their place of residence. Men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad and apply for a passport will also have their documents checked through the state electronic system "Trembita". Children aged 16 to 25 living in Ukraine or abroad and applying for a passport will automatically be included in the Unified State Register of conscripts, military personnel, and reservists, without undergoing a military medical examination. A list of men aged 16 to 60 subject to military registration will also be created.
The draft resolution was developed jointly by the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Defense, the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces. It is expected that these changes will help optimize and identify information in the Unified State Register of conscripts, military personnel, and reservists.
