In Rivne region, the organizer of smuggling evaders abroad will be tried: 10 thousand euros per person.
Illegal smuggling of evaders in Rivne region
According to Novyny.live: A resident of the Rivne region will stand trial for organizing the illegal smuggling of evaders across the border. For a safe route past checkpoints, the man promised to receive 10 thousand euros per person. The organizer was detained in August while transporting a client.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of bail exceeding 121 thousand hryvnias. The prosecutor's office imposed a lien on the land plot and the residential building of the organizer. According to the investigation, the defendant faces 7 to 9 years of imprisonment.
Other cases of illegal smuggling
This case is not the only one in the region. Earlier, in the Rivne region, an official of the territorial center for recruitment and social support did not draw up administrative protocols and was fined. Also, in Vinnytsia, a Kyiv resident was detained while transporting evaders to Moldova for 1900 dollars. These events indicate the activity of law enforcement agencies in combating illegal schemes for smuggling individuals abroad.
The detention of the organizer of illegal smuggling of evaders highlights the problems that exist in Ukraine related to the military draft and attempts to evade its execution. Law enforcement agencies are demonstrating determination in the fight against such crimes.
Active actions by the police, as well as the court processes that follow from these cases, may serve as a deterrent for other potential offenders.
