Oleksii Khabarov, who was known as an outstanding marksman and founder of the "Phoenix" club, died defending Ukraine. He was a record holder in Ukraine and an international class sports master in shooting. His death has been confirmed by an official statement from the NOC of Ukraine Office in Horishni Plavni.
Khabarov was not only a talented athlete but also a teacher who dedicated his experience to the development of young shooters. He actively worked with children and teenagers, helping them develop their sporting potential.
The late Oleksii Khabarov was not the only loss for Ukrainian sports. Along with him, in the ATO zone, the famous rower Yuriy Bredak and the athlete Vitalii Rymaruk also perished. Both were masters of sports in their fields and served devotedly in the Ukrainian army.
