Poaching of fish in Haysyn district of Vinnytsia region
The police of Vinnytsia region discovered a case of poaching in the Haysyn district. The damage caused to the ecosystem amounts to almost 1.7 million UAH.
On January 23, the police detained three local residents who illegally caught fish at the Ladyzhyn Reservoir.
During the search, 16 nets, five boats, a car, and over 1000 specimens of various types of fish were seized.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for this crime.
The issue of bringing charges against the suspects and seizing the collected evidence will be handled by the Haysyn District Prosecutor's Office. A fine or imprisonment may be imposed for this crime.
