NAB uncovered a corruption scheme in Energoatom: what kickbacks officials received.
According to inkorr.com: The National Anti-Corruption Bureau, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, during the 'Midas' operation uncovered corruption links in the energy sector. Officials and entrepreneurs received illegal benefits from partners of the state enterprise 'Energoatom'. The established scheme allowed influencing strategic enterprises, accompanied by kickbacks and control over financial processes.
Ukraine's actions regarding the IAEA
The Ukrainian side demanded that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) convene a Board of Governors meeting to avoid Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities. The situation remains tense after the recent attacks, as emergency restoration work continues.
Verdict in the rape case
In Transcarpathia, the appellate court confirmed the verdict in the case of the rape of a 14-year-old girl, sentencing the accused to six years of imprisonment. Resolutions have also been registered in the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss the Ministers of Justice and Energy due to their connections with corruption schemes.
