Jamala revealed Poliakova's song for Eurovision: what the singer violated.
According to ТСН: The scandal surrounding the National Selection for 'Eurovision-2026' continues to unfold.
This year, singer Olya Poliakovа also decided to participate in the competition, but there is a complicated situation. According to the rules, she is not allowed to compete since she performed in Russia after 2014. Despite this, she submitted a competitive song, which, however, did not make it to the longlist. The producer of the national selection, Jamala, noted in the 'Morning in the Big City' program that Poliakovа's composition was of high quality. According to Jamala, the singer hoped to compete with the song Warrior. But it later turned out that Olya Poliakovа violated another rule — participants cannot reveal their competitive songs before the finalists are announced.
'A good song! It seems to be Warrior. This is the song she wanted to go with,' says Jamala.
In response to Jamala's words, Olya Poliakovа's producer, Mikhail Yasyinsky, who accused Jamala of lying on Facebook, claimed that Poliakovа submitted a different song titled Queen of the Night.
'If this is not a lie, then what is it? We never said anywhere that Warrior is the competition song. Memory is indeed a weak point for this singer. Forgetting the competition song is not very professional for the selection producer,' retorted the producer.
As a reminder, earlier the organizers of the national selection announced the names of nine finalists of the competition. The last participant will be chosen by Ukrainians through voting in 'Diia'.
This situation once again highlights the tension surrounding the national selection for 'Eurovision', where rules and requirements always spark discussions. Olya Poliakovа, being one of the most famous performers in Ukraine, brings extra attention to the competition, but also to the rules that remain a subject of debate among participants and organizers.
