The Bloodiest Battles Are Still Ahead: The Independent Named the Timeline for the Capture of Donbas.

Given the current situation, the Russian Federation's army has the opportunity to capture the entire territory of Donbas by the end of the year. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing the article 'Why, after three years of war in Ukraine, the bloodiest battles are still ahead' from The Independent.
'According to current trends, Russia will need until the end of the year to capture the rest of the eastern province of Donbas, without which the end of the war is still unlikely,' the article states.
The conditions set by Moscow are already known: official recognition by Kyiv of the occupation of these regions since 2022, withdrawal of the Ukrainian army from these territories, establishment of permanent neutrality for Ukraine, and limitation of its military capability. Moreover, Ukraine must recognize and guarantee the rights of the Russian language in the country and ban ultra-right parties.
'But these conditions are completely unacceptable for Kyiv. Although Ukraine has no better option, it still has not reached such a desperate state as to agree to such a deal,' emphasizes The Independent.
It is noted that the only way to force Kyiv to comply is through a complete military defeat of Ukraine, which is currently unlikely, or collective pressure from the West to accept Russia's unpleasant conditions. However, the West is divided on the issue, and Europeans insist that Kyiv should continue fighting until it gains an advantage in negotiations.
The publication emphasizes that 'heroic assumptions' that next year Ukraine will be in a stronger position, as subsequent anniversaries weaken its position annually.
'For these reasons, there is no guarantee that US-Russian negotiations will lead to a resolution of the conflict. Unfortunately, this means that the deadliest battles of the war are still ahead of us, as Russian forces attempt to exploit their military advantage,' the article states.
Recall that US President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is a 'dictator without elections.' The US president believes that Zelensky 'should move faster, otherwise he will lose his country.' Trump also emphasized that the Ukrainian leader has a 'very low rating in Ukrainian polls' and his 'only strong point is playing against Biden.'
As reported earlier, US leader Donald Trump expressed his concern over the refusal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from his proposal. The US hopes that the Ukrainian president will agree to it in Time.
According to The Hill, the approval rating of US President Donald Trump is declining because many believe he is exceeding his authority.
