Consequences of the Attack
According to SANA news agency, the explosive device was attached to the bomber's waist. The interior of the church suffered serious damage: wooden pews were damaged, torn icons lay on the floor, and there were traces of blood around.
After the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area where the attack took place and began evacuating the dead and injured. The official number of victims is currently being clarified. Security officials have not yet provided comments. Earlier, leaders of European countries warned American President Donald Trump that any attack on Iran could endanger the citizens of Western states.
