According to ТСН: A new FSB agent has been discovered in Ukraine — a student of a military educational institution. The court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

According to the SBU, the investigation established that under the direction of his curators from Russia, the young man was gathering and transmitting coordinates for possible missile attacks on the facilities of his educational institution. He was interested in the locations of academic buildings, cadet barracks, training grounds at the training grounds, as well as defense enterprises in the region. In addition, the agent prepared detailed schedules of personnel presence at various facilities, which could be used for adjusting strikes.

Detection of the agent

“Cyber specialists and investigators of the SBU, in cooperation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, detained a 'mole' on the university's territory while he was forming an agent 'report' with coordinates for an air strike,” the material states.

According to the investigation, the recruitment of the cadet occurred through one of the Telegram channels, where 'quick earnings' were offered. Law enforcement officials also found out that the traitor was secretly photographing educational facilities and manufacturing premises of the defense industry complex, where field classes for cadets were taking place.

“During searches, the offender's smartphone was seized with evidence of working for the FSB,” the agency added.

Court verdict

Based on the collected evidence, the court found him guilty under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — treason committed under martial law.

Previously, it was reported about another Russian agent who attempted to work in the Department of Defense in Sumy Oblast, and his goal was to engage in subversive activities within the government institution.

“In the event of agent penetration, the 'mole' was supposed to gather and transmit secret information about the border region's protection system to the Rashists,” the SBU noted.

The traitor has been detained, and a Russian passport and other evidence were found on him. Now he will serve 15 years in prison.

This case underscores the constant threat posed by agents of foreign intelligence services attempting to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. Authorities continue to make efforts to detect and neutralize such threats, which is an important element of national security during the war.
