PSG signs Zabarnyi for 63 million euros: how much will the Ukrainian earn in France.
Illia Zabarnyi transfers to 'PSG'
Ukrainian center-back from the English 'Bournemouth' Illia Zabarnyi will move to the French 'PSG'. The announcement of the transfer is expected on August 11.
Prior to the announcement, the French publication L’Equipe released the terms of Zabarnyi's personal contract.
Illia will earn more than in England
French sources reported that the 22-year-old footballer will receive 4.5 million euros after tax deductions in his first season at 'PSG'. Additionally, the contract includes bonuses that could raise Illia's income to 8 million euros. The contract is set for five years.
'PSG' will pay 'Bournemouth' 63 million euros for the player plus 3 million euros in bonuses, which include victories in the Champions League and Ligue 1. Also, 25% of the transfer amount, totaling 15.75 million euros, will go to 'Dynamo'.
Previously, Kyiv sold Zabarnyi to 'Bournemouth' for 22.7 million euros. Thus, the total transfer amount for the Ukrainians will be 38.45 million euros, which is a record for the club.
It is worth noting that Russian fans reacted very aggressively to Zabarnyi's transfer to 'PSG'. At 'PSG', due to Zabarnyi's request, the process of expelling Russian goalkeeper Matviy Safonov from the club began, but he is not needed by anyone.
After a successful season at 'Bournemouth', Illia Zabarnyi is preparing for a new stage of his career at the football club 'PSG'. The transfer marks not only a financial benefit for the Ukrainian player but also known reactions to this move in various countries.Read also
