NBA has determined the candidates for the Most Valuable Player award of the season.


The NBA press service published the trio of candidates for the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the 2024/25 regular season. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
The list includes point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ('Oklahoma City Thunder'), forward Giannis Antetokounmpo ('Milwaukee Bucks'), and forward/center Nikola Jokic ('Denver Nuggets').
These are the most productive players of the season by points scored. Gilgeous-Alexander averages 32.7 points per game, Antetokounmpo 30.4, and Jokic 29.6. Moreover, Jokic is the second-best assist man in the league (10.2 assists per game) and third in rebounds (12.7).
'Oklahoma' with Gilgeous-Alexander won the regular championship, 'Milwaukee' finished fifth in the Eastern Conference, while 'Denver' finished fourth in the West.
Recall that the play-in matches have concluded, determining the last participants in the main playoff bracket of the NBA.
In the Eastern Conference, the eighth spot was taken by 'Miami Heat', while on the West, the last playoff spot went to 'Memphis Grizzlies'.
Thus, all pairs of the first round of the NBA playoffs are now known.
In particular, the club of Ukrainian center Oleksiy Leny, 'Los Angeles Lakers', will face 'Minnesota Timberwolves' in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The current NBA champion is 'Boston Celtics'. The first playoff matches took place from April 19 to April 20.
