Member of the Verkhovna Rada Fedir Venislavskyi stated that a ceasefire does not mean the cancellation of martial law in Ukraine, even if Ukraine and Russia reach an agreement on this issue. He explained that the cancellation of martial law is only possible when the threat that led to its introduction is removed. Currently, Russia has not withdrawn its troops from the occupied territories and has not eliminated the threats it poses to Ukraine. Therefore, without guarantees of long-term peace, Venislavskyi believes that martial law cannot be lifted. The timing of the lifting of martial law depends on many circumstances, including negotiations, troop withdrawals, and the results of international agreements.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that a special U.S. representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will arrive in Ukraine.

Earlier, Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia does not intend to return Ukraine's lands. It is also known that Volodymyr Putin is forming a team of negotiators to interact with U.S. representatives in order to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.

President Zelenskyi stated that Ukraine does not recognize any agreements made without its participation. Moreover, Turkey has offered to help Russia and Ukraine conclude peace by holding negotiations on its territory.
