Neymar played his first match for 'Santos' after a 12-year break
Brazilian footballer Neymar has taken to the field for his former team 'Santos' for the first time after a 12-year absence. The match took place at the 'Santos' stadium against 'Botafogo São Paulo' in the São Paulo state championship.
Neymar, who played for 'Barcelona' and PSG, started the match on the bench. When he was called onto the field, the home team had already opened the scoring. After the break, the 'Santos' coach decided to make Neymar the team captain.
At the beginning of the second half, Neymar was hit in the groin by the ball, but managed to continue playing. He attempted to score a goal, but was unsuccessful.
In the 67th minute, 'Botafogo São Paulo' equalized - 1:1.
