The price of cars from auctions in Ukraine is increasing
Ukrainian buyers of cars from the USA will have to pay more than expected due to increased customs duties. The auction commission and logistics costs are added to the price of the car when calculating customs expenses, leading to an increase in the total cost.
'Our customs takes the invoice, which clearly states the price, for example, 10,000 dollars, and adds the auction commission – approximately one thousand dollars. Why this is the case is unknown; we tried to argue but to no avail,' said Yermolov.
This approach is applied only to cars from the USA. Before calculating the cost, it is advisable to use the official calculator on the customs website.
In addition to customs duties, the buyer also has to pay for the certification of the car and make a contribution to the Pension Fund. It is also noted that there are restrictions on international payments due to the state of war in Ukraine.
