Germany Reaches Its Limit on Military Aid to Ukraine, Urges Allies to Step Up.
Germany's Military Support for Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has announced that his country has reached the limit of its capacity to provide further military aid to Ukraine. He called on other allied nations to increase their contributions, as Germany currently lacks the ability to expand its own military assistance. This statement comes at a critical juncture in the war, as Ukraine faces ongoing Russian assaults on its infrastructure.
According to Pistorius, Germany has already supplied Ukraine with more than a third of its Patriot air defence missile systems. These systems are vital for protecting Ukrainian airspace; however, the minister noted that Germany itself is awaiting replacement deliveries for the systems it has transferred. He emphasized:

The Critical Need for International Support
Germany is the sole manufacturer of the IRIS-T air defence systems, which are also deployed in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the situation on the ground remains dire, highlighted by a Russian strike on Kharkiv's energy infrastructure on January 26 that left parts of the city without power. This incident underscores the urgent need for sustained international support for Ukraine's fight for independence and security.
The constraints now facing Germany's military aid highlight growing strains within the international coalition supporting Kyiv. The limitations Germany is experiencing could impact the overall strategy for Ukraine's defence, especially amid Russia's active military campaign. The appeal for other allied nations to bolster their assistance may prove a crucial step in strengthening Ukraine's resilience during this challenging period.
