Archival Photos from the 1950s Linked to Nuclear Tests and UFOs.
Study of Unexplained Star-Like Bursts
According to ТСН: Scientists analyzed unusual star-like bursts recorded at the Palomar Observatory in California between 1949 and 1958. Approximately 2000 photographic plates were included in the study, which showed fleeting points of light known as transients. As a result of this analysis, researchers reached a sensational conclusion: these bursts are statistically linked to nuclear tests and UFO sightings.
Experts found that strange bursts were observed on days when nuclear tests were conducted during the Cold War or shortly before or after them. There was also an observed increase in UFO sightings during the same period. According to calculations, the probability of transients appearing within 24 hours after nuclear tests in the US, USSR, or UK was 45% higher. Additionally, every new UFO report corresponded to an 8.5% increase in transients.
Researchers noted that these phenomena could be characterized as 'non-random correlations' between transients, nuclear tests, and UFO sightings. They emphasized that this discovery resonates with well-known assumptions about possible alien observation of humanity's nuclear activities. At the same time, the authors of the study warned that the existing data does not confirm any causal relationships.
“Now, in his opinion, it is at least necessary to consider the possibility that these could be artificial extraterrestrial objects.”
Co-author of the study, anesthesiologist from Vanderbilt University Medical School in Tennessee, Stephen Bruhl, expressed the view that some simpler explanations for the recorded bursts were rejected. However, many scientists disagree with this hypothesis. For instance, some astronomers believe that the solution likely lies not in space but in the imperfections of photographic plates and unreliable records from that time.
“Scientists approached the use of archival data creatively, but they should be cautious with overly literal interpretations of the results.”
According to Michael Garrett, director of the Jodrell Bank Center for Astrophysics at Manchester University in the UK, who did not participate in the study, it is important to be careful in the literal interpretation of the data.
Recently, a swarm of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) was recorded over the active Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico, raising the question of the possibility of alien portals once again.
This study highlights the importance of analyzing archival astronomical data and its connection to historical events. Scientists believe that such cases may provide a new perspective on phenomena that are difficult to explain using traditional methods, but most scientists emphasize the need for caution in interpreting the results.
