According to The Sun: An amateur-level football match has once again come under serious question due to a rather unusual reason - geese decided to 'decorate' the field with the players and spectators. Wembley FC guests were supposed to play against Spelthorne Sports, but the referee decided that the hostile geese carried too dangerous a 'message' on the pitch and chose to postpone the match.
This unexpected incident reminded of a similar one last year, when geese also played their part in postponing another amateur match. Interestingly, English lower leagues continue to provide the football community with unforgettable experiences and unusual stories.
