Pavlo 'Bonehead' Arthurs to Miss Part of Tour Due to Cancer Treatment

According to The Sun: OASIS guitarist Pavlo 'Bonehead' Arthurs has announced that he will not be able to perform at some concerts during the band's reunion due to cancer treatment.

He will miss performances in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Pavlo Arthurs, known as Bonehead, arrives at a special screening of the Oasis documentary 'Supersonic' at Odeon Left to right: drummer Alan White, rhythm guitarist Pavlo 'Bonehead' Arthurs, vocalist Liam Gallagher, bassist Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan, and guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher

In his post on social media, the guitarist shared that he is responding positively to treatment for prostate cancer, diagnosed early in 2025.

Bonehead also revealed that he is moving to the second stage of treatment after the unsettling news of his diagnosis. While treatment is showing positive results, he regrettably stated that he will miss part of the 'unforgettable tour.'

“This year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“The good news is that I am responding very well to treatment, so I might be able to partially take part in this incredible tour.

“Right now, I have to take a planned break for the next stage of treatment, so I will miss concerts in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney.

“I am very sorry to miss these shows, but I feel good and will be back in time for the concert in South America.

“For those going to the concert this month, have an unforgettable experience, and I will see you on stage with the band in November.”

Bonehead plans to return to the stage on November 15 in Buenos Aires for the first of five final concerts of the tour.

Oasis shared his statement on X and added: “Wishing you all the best in your treatment, Bonehead – we will see you back on stage in South America.”

The band also noted: “Wishing you all the best with your treatment – we will see you back on stage in South America.”

Noel Gallagher's daughter, Anaïs, wished him well, posting on Instagram: “We love you so much, Bonehead!”, while Liam's daughter, Molly Moorish, added: “Sending love!”

Bonehead played in the band from 1991 to 1999 and contributed to many of their major hits. After the reunion this summer, he joined the band for the extraordinarily successful Oasis Live ‘25 tour.

The guitarist, who raises two children with wife Kate, was also diagnosed with tonsil cancer in 2022, but later received a positive outcome.

Shutterstock Editorial Bonehead, who has already faced one challenging health battle, is now facing another tough test. It is important that his response to treatment is positive, and he has the support of bandmates and fans. We eagerly await his return to the stage, as his presence in the band has always brought joy and inspiration to fans.
