As of 12:00, there were no Russian invaders in Toretsk. This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko.

Earlier, information appeared that the occupiers allegedly entered the city, resulting in fights within the settlement.

However, Kovalenko stated that the data on the entry of Russians into Toretsk does not correspond to reality.

Recall that analysts from the Institute for the Study of War stated that Russian troops maintained a high speed of attacks in the Toretsk direction and advanced in some areas. The occupiers likely captured the entire Volchansk Aggregate Plant in Volchansk. The fighting continued near Hlybokiy and in other places in Volchansk, with Ukrainian forces conducting four counterattacks near Starytsia.

Earlier, it became known that during July 2024, Russian ground forces continued to advance in the central part of the Donetsk region.

It was reported that Russian military destroyed the city of Toretsk by 70%, with 3,500 civilians remaining there currently.

Russia increasingly uses poorly prepared irregular military formations in offensive operations against Ukraine. It was previously known that over 30,000 employees of Rosgvardiya are currently stationed in Ukraine. Most of the personnel  are engaged in guarding the rear, with only a few units participating in front-line battles.

By the way, the Russian command may withdraw some soldiers from the Kharkiv region after the losses suffered by Wagner PMC mercenaries in Mali. Analysts suggest that the African Corps likely lacks the current capabilities to properly replace Wagner PMC, particularly in Mali, as elements of the corps were recently deployed in Ukraine to participate in offensive efforts in the northern part of the Kharkiv region.
