According to Novyny.live: On the fifth day of competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Ukrainian Nordic combined athletes Dmytro Mazurchuk and Oleksandr Shumbarets took part in the event featuring a normal hill ski jump followed by a 10km cross-country race. Dmytro Mazurchuk, starting 32nd with a 2-minute 22-second handicap, landed an 88-meter jump for 97 points. He ultimately finished in 27th place, 4 minutes 58.5 seconds behind the gold medalist.
Oleksandr Shumbarets, who landed a 89.5-meter jump for 98.6 points, concluded the competition in 30th place, 6 minutes 14.7 seconds behind the winner. The best-ever Olympic result for Ukraine in Nordic combined belongs to Dmytro Prosvirnin, who finished 16th in 1994.
