The organizers of the National Selection for Eurovision-2025 announced the hosts of the competition.
TV presenter Maria Efrosinina, the official voice of Ukrainian Eurovision Timur Miroshnychenko, and stand-up comedian Vasyl Baidak will be the hosts of the final national selection for Eurovision-2025, reports 'Suspilne'.
In the final, which will take place on February 8, they will perform simultaneously on the main stage and separately in different zones of the location.
The national selection pre-show is hosted by Anna Tulieva, a well-known host of the Eurovision Ukraine video blog, who also joins the backstage hosts in the star green room.
The broadcast of the Eurovision evening will begin on February 8 at 18:00 with the pre-show, and the final will start at 18:30.
The national selection for Eurovision-2025 can be watched on the 'Suspilne Culture' TV channel and website, the 'Eurovision Ukraine' YouTube channel, as well as on the Facebook pages of 'Suspilne' and 'Eurovision Ukraine', and on the Eurovision website in Ukraine. The broadcast will also be available to listen to on the waves of the official radio partner of Eurovision - 'Radio Promin'.
Today, January 23, the presentation of the songs of the participants of the national selection for Eurovision-2025 and the drawing of the order of performances in the final took place.
Challenge of the song Fiїnka
The finalist of the national selection Fiїnka, whose real name is Irina Vyhovanets, has been accused of plagiarism for the composition of the singer Rosalía titled 'Con Altura'. The music producer of the national selection for Eurovision-2025, Tina Karol, reacted to these accusations.
In addition, new rules are being introduced for the music competition Eurovision-2025. The 69th song contest, which will be held in Basel, Switzerland, will take place under updated requirements. Participants and media representatives must adhere to the Code of Conduct, violations of which will result in the loss of accreditation rights.
Details about Eurovision-2025
The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Swiss city of Basel. The grand final is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, while the semi-finals will take place on May 13 and 15, 2025. The contest will take place at the St. Jakobshalle arena after Nemo's victory with the song 'The Code' at Eurovision-2024. A total of 38 countries will participate, of which 32 will compete in the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will be joined by representatives of the 'Big Five' countries: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as well as last year's winner Switzerland.
