Bradley Wiggins admits to drug addiction
Legendary British cyclist Bradley Wiggins revealed that he has been struggling with drug addiction for 12 months. He confessed that he had been using drugs for many years, but he managed to realize the problem and address it.
«I was a drug addict. People won’t understand. I have been in a state of addiction for many years. I was on the edge. I realized that I had a serious problem and decided to tackle it. I am lucky to be alive. I will still have to work on many things, but I can cope with the challenges better. I feel peace within myself, and that is very important», Wiggins said.
Bradley Wiggins retired from his sports career in 2016, but leaves a significant mark in the world of cycling. His colleague Lance Armstrong helped him overcome addiction by offering to pay for his treatment.
