According to Novyny.live: In March 2026, a significant pension indexation of 12% was implemented across Ukraine, marking a crucial development for the nation's retirees. This adjustment applied to all pensions granted before December 31, 2025, and resulted in an average increase of over 500 hryvnias to monthly payments. This move is part of ongoing government efforts to strengthen social protections amidst economic challenges.
Official data shows that in the Poltava region alone, approximately 370,000 citizens received higher pension payments. The indexation coefficient was set at 1.121, equating to a 12.1% rise. The average total pension increase reached 568 hryvnias, while military pensions saw a substantially higher average boost of 1,539 hryvnias. Individual increases varied widely, ranging from 100 to 2,595 hryvnias, reflecting the diversity of pension types and amounts.

The following pension categories were subject to the indexation:
- General system pensions
- Military pensions
- Pensions for individuals disabled due to the Chornobyl disaster
- Pensions for special merit
- Pensions under special laws
