Negotiations in Florida: Ukraine and the USA Discuss Security Guarantees and Peace Plan.
According to ТСН: Negotiations took place in Florida involving representatives from Ukraine, the USA, Europe, and Russia concerning security issues and the possibilities for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
Constructive Meetings
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff noted that the meetings with the Ukrainian and Russian delegations were constructive and focused on agreeing on further actions.
Witkoff mentioned this on social media platform X.
The Ukrainian delegation included Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov. From the American side, Jared Kushner and White House representative Josh Gruenbaum also participated in the negotiations.
Synchronization of Positions
Key national security advisors from European countries were involved in discussions to align the positions between Ukraine, the USA, and Europe regarding a joint strategic approach.
Separate negotiations in a USA–Ukraine format also took place, where the parties focused on several issues: the development of a 20-point plan, agreement on multilateral security guarantees, the formulation of security guarantee frameworks from the USA for Ukraine, as well as on economic and recovery plans.
Significant attention was paid to timelines and the sequence of implementing further steps in the agreements.
Commitment to Just Peace
The Ukrainian side emphasized its commitment to achieving a just and sustainable peace, recognizing core priorities: cessation of hostilities, ensuring guaranteed security, and creating conditions for recovery and long-term development of the country.
Meetings with the Russian Side
In addition, meetings between the US delegation and the Russian side, represented by Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev, took place in Florida. He discussed with US representatives the implementation of the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump for Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Putin's special envoy stated that negotiations in the USA regarding the end of the war in Ukraine are progressing constructively.
According to reports, Steve Witkoff has made a swift diplomatic rise, notably thanks to the willingness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to support these negotiations.
These negotiations underscore the importance of international dialogue in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
