A resident of Odessa region organized a channel for the illegal transport of men to Moldova. However, during the journey with one of the clients, the dealer's car was detained by law enforcement, and now he faces imprisonment.
This was reported by the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Details of the case
Border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district detained a 35-year-old resident of the Odessa region who was trying to transport a man of mobilization age to Moldova. To implement the scheme, the suspect involved a 54-year-old friend who was to act as a taxi driver.
As it turned out, the suspect found his willing client to leave Ukraine through acquaintances. For 5 thousand US dollars, he promised to organize a so-called 'crossing' to Moldova bypassing checkpoints. Meeting his client at one of the railway stations, the suspect received a down payment of 2 thousand UAH. The rest of the amount was to be given to him after the conscript was already on the territory of the neighboring state.
However, the suspect's car was detained by law enforcement in the border zone.
What punishment is threatened
The organizer of the transport is suspected under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal transport of persons across the state border). He faces up to 9 years in prison.
Recall that recently we wrote about a man who forged a military ticket for departure abroad. Also about a tour to another country for 12 thousand dollars.
A brief summary: A resident of the Odessa region organized the illegal transport of men to Moldova through acquaintances for a fee. The police detained the organizer and his assistant, and now they face severe punishment for breaking the law. The events of this case once again emphasize the importance of adhering to the law and the inadmissibility of illegal actions in the field of migration.Read also
