Former owner of the Formula 1 team 'Jordan' Eddie Jordan has died in Cape Town from prostate cancer, having fought the disease for the past 12 months. Eddie passed away surrounded by family at the age of 76. In 1998, the 'Jordan' team achieved its best results: its drivers finished first and second at the Belgian Grand Prix. It is also worth noting that Japanese gymnast Akinori Nakayama died at the age of 83 from stomach cancer. Four-time European football champion Doris Fitschen also passed away from illness at the age of 57.
