Ukrainian forces advanced behind Russian lines on the anniversary of the invasion
Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War reported that during the operation in the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces conducted reconnaissance and strikes on elements of the Russian defense to prevent a new offensive on the cities of Sumy and Kharkiv. The operation was successful for them even before the main invasion began.
In this operation, the Russians lost about 40 thousand personnel, of which over 16 thousand were killed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that the Kursk operation provides two important lessons for the world.
