PlayCity fined Daryana Koretska for illegal casino advertising.
According to inkorr.com: Bloger and participant of the TV show 'From a Girl to a Lady' Daryana Koretska was fined for illegal advertising of an online casino. The state agency PlayCity discovered that her advertisement was fake, and the player she invented did not actually exist. This was made possible through monitoring by the PlayCity team and user complaints.
In her Instagram, the blogger stated that gambling 'lifts the mood' through happiness hormones and showed 'a win of $200'. She also added an active link to the casino registration site.
In addition, earlier the PlayCity agency fined another popular blogger Rusalochka XL and the Telegram channel 'Trukha Ukraine' for similar illegal advertising of gambling games.
Regulation of gambling in Ukraine
A state agency 'PlayCity' was created in Ukraine to regulate the gambling and lottery market. The goal of this agency is to ensure transparency and control in the specified market. The agency is headed by Gennady Novikov, a former deputy head of the KRAIL.
These events indicate an intensification of control over the advertising of gambling in Ukraine. The growing attention to this market sector may contribute to increasing public awareness of the risks associated with gambling, as well as strengthening regulatory policy in this area. Platforms that engage in advertising gambling must be particularly careful in complying with legislation to avoid fines and reputational losses.
