Explosion near the Russian consulate in Marseille
This morning, February 24, an explosion occurred near the Russian consulate in Marseille, reports 'Glavcom' referring to BFM TV.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. local time on Avenue Ambroise-Paré, where the consulate of the Russian Federation is located. The General Consul of Russia in Marseille, Stanislav Oransky, confirmed the information about the explosion.
Unknown individuals threw two 'Molotov cocktails' into the garden on the consulate's territory. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
There are thirty firefighters and police officers present at the scene.
Earlier, an 18-year-old citizen of Russia was arrested in Germany on suspicion of preparing a politically motivated attack. Also, an unknown man set himself on fire near the Israeli embassy in Washington.
Let us remind you that Russia and the USA agreed to restore embassy offices in Moscow and Washington.
