Taxes and Social Contributions: How Ukrainians Have Contributed Billions of Dollars to the Polish Budget.

According to a report by the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), Ukrainian migrants contributed 15.1 billion zlotys, which amounts to 3.9 billion US dollars, to Poland's state budget in 2024.

This money was paid by Ukrainians in the form of taxes and contributions to pension insurance, health insurance, disability insurance, and value-added tax.

During the same period, the Polish state allocated 2.8 billion zlotys (728 million dollars) to support Ukrainian citizens under the 'Family 800+' program. This program provides a monthly payment of 800 zlotys for each child studying in a Polish school.

'Considering the amount of taxes paid in Poland by migrants from Ukraine, it can be stated that for every Polish zloty received by Ukrainian citizens under the 'Family 800+' program, migrants paid about 5.4 zlotys to the state budget of Poland,' the BGK report states.

It was previously emphasized how Ukrainians can confirm their work experience to receive assistance abroad.
