Recent studies indicate that the Kremlin is strengthening its military presence in Armenia due to rising tensions in relations with Azerbaijan. Military bases in Gyumri are receiving new equipment, and soldiers from the Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as from occupied Crimea, are being recruited into the group.
According to a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the deployment of Russian troops in Armenia is only part of the overall Kremlin strategy to destabilize the situation in the South Caucasus. Ukrainian intelligence continues to monitor troop movements, analyzing potential threats to the security of the region in light of their increases.
The situation in the South Caucasus region remains tense due to the increased military presence of Russia in Armenia. This confirms the overall strategy of the Kremlin to destabilize the situation in the region, which could have potential implications for the security of the entire region.
