Polissya destroys Hungarian Paksi 3:0 in the Conference League qualification.
The first matches of the third qualifying round took place in the Conference League. At this stage, Zhytomyr's 'Polissya' faced the Hungarian 'Paks'.
'Polissya' demolishes Hungarian opponents
'Polissya' won against the Hungarians with a score of 3:0. 'Paks', featuring physically strong experienced footballers, was shocked by the speed of play of the Zhytomyr team. Their player, Borys Krushynskyi, was particularly active on the left flank, where he effectively worked against the veteran defender.
In the first half, Krushynskyi assisted Oleksandr Andriyevskyi, who scored a goal, after which Danilo Beskorovainyi delivered a free kick, and Lednev scored another goal. In the 58th minute, Krushynskyi touched two defenders and passed to Lednev, who again converted the chance.
After that, 'Paks' tried to equalize the score, but the defenders of 'Polissya' and Volynets worked well. Although the opponents scored a goal, the referee did not count it due to a foul against Nazarenko. In added time, Bohdan Mykhailichenko received a red card for a rough tackle against Norbert Szoboszlai and will not be able to play in the return match at the opponent's stadium.
It is worth noting that Donetsk's 'Shakhtar' could not defeat 'Panathinaikos' in Athens in the qualification of the Europa League. 'Polissya' is currently actively searching for clubs for players who are no longer needed in the team.
In the match between 'Polissya' and 'Paks', the Zhytomyr team demonstrated an impressive game, defeating their opponents convincingly with a score of 3:0. Player Borys Krushynskyi was outstanding, actively participating on the field and securing an important victory for his team. Despite an incorrectly awarded goal to the opponents, 'Polissya' showcased its best side and highlighted its potential this season.
