Famous coach Ihor Barna from Kalush has passed away
According to inkorr.com: Legendary coach from Kalush Ihor Barna has left this world at the age of 85. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the Ukrainian Wrestling Association.
Ihor Adamovych Barna was an Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, the founder of the Kalush school of wrestling, and an Honorary Citizen of the city of Kalush.
Memory of the coach will always remain
“Ihor Adamovych is my coach, mentor, and true friend. A person who played a huge role in my life. He taught me not to give up when it’s hard and to believe when it seems there is no strength left. His advice, support, and wisdom will always stay with me. Thank you, dear Ihor Adamovych, for everything you have done for me and for many boys you raised,”said the first vice-president of ASBU Eduard Proshchuk.
Tragic death of Ukrainian athlete
Renowned Ukrainian athlete Vitalii Rymaruk has died. The 26-year-old discus thrower was a champion of Ukraine among youth and a medalist of the adult championship. He left behind a wife and a small daughter.
Vitalii Rymaruk served as an officer in the 1st combat group of the 4th special operations group of the National Guard of Ukraine. He died in the Pokrovsk direction in Donetsk region.
Two outstanding sports figures of Ukraine have passed away – coach Ihor Barna and athlete Vitalii Rymaruk. Their contribution to the development of sports will leave a deep mark in the hearts of those they raised. We wish the family and loved ones the strength to overcome their grief while preserving the memory of them and continuing to invest in the development of Ukrainian sports in their honor.
