Madonna admitted suicidal thoughts during the fight for her son.
Hard times for Madonna
According to The Sun: Madonna confessed that during her battle for custody of her son Rocco with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, she often thought about suicide.
The 67-year-old singer shared these thoughts during the On Purpose podcast:

The struggle for Rocco
She noted:
“One of the most painful situations was the battle for custody of my son. I truly thought about suicide. I couldn’t bear this pain any longer.”
The conflict began in 2015 when 15-year-old Rocco stayed in London with his father after a trip to the UK with Madonna during her world tour and refused to return to the US for Christmas.
The singer added:
“Even if my marriage failed, many marriages fail, people marry not with whom they should be. Someone is trying to take my child away, and I thought: maybe it’s better for me to just die. That’s how I thought.”
She recounted that during tours, she had to go on stage, even though she was 'just lying on the dressing room floor and crying.'

Coping with suffering
Eventually, they came to an agreement: Rocco stayed with his father. Madonna said that now, when her son is 25, their relationship has improved significantly.
The singer noted:
“I was abandoned by my own mother in childhood, so the loss of a child was like a repetition of life for me. I could not come to terms with it, which caused me a lot of suffering.”
Fortunately, now she can talk about their relationship as good:
“Now I’m happy to say that we are really good friends, although back then I didn’t see it.
