The US Embassy in Ukraine warns of threats from Russia
The US representative office in Ukraine issued a warning about the increasing threats from Russian missiles and drones. Currently, it is recommended to stay in shelters in case of air raid alerts.
The embassy urged US citizens in Ukraine to be especially cautious due to the increasing threats from Russian missiles and drones. They are aimed at critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
All US citizens should follow the warnings from the Ukrainian government regarding air attacks and monitor the reliable 'Air Raid' app on their mobile phones. US citizens must comply with all government curfews, act quickly on instructions, and seek shelter during air raid alerts.
The embassy recommends finding shelter locations in advance and following the instructions of Ukrainian officials and emergency services in case of an emergency.
Earlier, the elected US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine might not receive the same level of assistance as from the previous administration after he takes office as president.
Subsequently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with elected US President Donald Trump in Paris. This was their first meeting after the US elections.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky assessed the meeting as good and productive and thanked Presidents Trump and Macron for it.
French President Emmanuel Macron also proposed to hold a trilateral meeting with elected US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris to discuss the war in Ukraine and explore ways to end it.
