Sports scandal in Ukraine: gymnasts ready to boycott the European Championship

The Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine has come under fire after accusations from athletes of deliberately removing the head coach of the team, Hennadiy Sartynskyi. UFG denies these accusations and considers them an attempt to discredit the organization.

We are confident that the discrediting of me personally and UFG is not the first time - this is the influence of outsiders with the smell of Russian agency, who are interested in undermining not only Ukrainian sports gymnastics but also sports in Ukraine as a whole.

However, the athletes decided not to leave this unnoticed. They threaten to boycott the European Championship if the situation with the coach is not resolved. This statement has caused outrage on the network.

Reaction to the accusations

The leadership of the gymnastics federation rejects the accusations, considering them unacceptable in times of war. But sports officials are concerned about communication with athletes and their demands.

The situation remains tense until the athletes receive a response to their demands. Whether it will be possible to avoid a boycott of the European Championship and what consequences await Ukrainian gymnastics remains unknown for now.
