PrivatBank Clarifies App Glitch Causing Incorrect Balance Display for Transfers.
Transfer Issues in PrivatBank's App
According to Novyny.live: PrivatBank has explained a technical issue where its mobile app, Privat24, may incorrectly show insufficient funds for a transfer, even when the customer's account balance is adequate. This glitch has caused frustration for users attempting to make payments through the application. For international audiences, it's useful to know that PrivatBank is one of Ukraine's largest financial institutions, and its digital services are widely used.
According to bank representatives, the displayed balance sometimes lags behind the actual account status. To resolve this, users should wait a few minutes or perform a pull-down refresh within the app.
"The balance might not have updated yet, which can take a minute. You don't need to log out; simply swipe down to refresh the information and then proceed with your transaction,"a PrivatBank spokesperson stated.
Cashback and International Transfer Rates
Separately, PrivatBank reminded customers that they can receive cashback for international transfers made via Privat24. A cashback draw for amounts ranging from 250 to 50,000 Ukrainian hryvnias will be held in February. Reduced tariffs for international money transfers will remain in effect until the end of March 2023, offering a potential incentive for users.
Therefore, despite the temporary technical issue with balance display, PrivatBank continues to provide opportunities for clients to save on international transfers and earn cashback. This situation highlights the critical need for reliability in mobile banking apps, as more customers depend on digital services for daily financial operations. While balance display errors can cause inconvenience, the ongoing promotional offers for international services may remain attractive to many users.
