PrivatBank Warns: Card Replacement Required by June — Here’s What Changes.
PrivatBank Card Replacement in 2026
According to Novyny.live: By June 2026, all PrivatBank customers must swap out their old bank cards to avoid disruptions to payments and financial transactions. While older cards have remained valid under martial law, they no longer support certain operations — potentially causing issues for those withdrawing cash abroad, using international services, or exchanging currency online. This mandatory update is part of broader banking adjustments to meet evolving security and regulatory standards.
Steps to Replace Your Card
The following card types require replacement:
- Universal Card
- Payment Card
- Gold Card
- Junior Card
- Business Card
- Premium Card
To order a new card, customers can use the Privat24 app. Simply go to the 'Wallet' section, tap the card you want to replace, enter a delivery address, and confirm the request.
Customers may also arrange a notarized power of attorney for card replacement. Delivery of new cards remains free until the end of 2026; after that, a fee of 80 hryvnias will apply. Ensuring a timely swap is essential to avoid potential financial hurdles down the line.
Replacing bank cards is a key step to keep your financial transactions running smoothly.
Driven by technological progress and legal changes, banks are adapting their services to meet modern security and convenience demands. PrivatBank customers can replace their cards at no cost through the end of 2026, highlighting the importance of staying responsive to evolving banking services.
