Propagandists reported that the Ukrainian consulate called on Chile to refuse the football game with the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian consulate in Chile refused to participate in a friendly match with Russians. According to Russian media, representatives of the consulate approached the local football association asking not to hold a match with the Russian national team due to the recognized aggression of Russia against Ukraine.
Political motives for the refusal
Pablo Milad, the head of the Chilean Football Association, previously proposed organizing a game with the Russians in November. However, the Ukrainian consulate opposed this decision due to political circumstances and acknowledged that collaboration with Russia is inappropriate.
Kyril Babichuk, a former master of sports in Russia in Greco-Roman wrestling, became a victim of defense. After his career, he took up coaching, successfully preparing young wrestlers.
Some athletes, including Mira Andreeva and Anton Yendzheyievsky, are supporting the 'People's Front', an organization that provides assistance to Russian occupiers. This causes outrage and raises questions about their values and morality.
