Sikorski: Russia will recover after failure

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski claims that the Russian Federation will be able to recover from its imperial illness only after a serious military defeat of Putin. According to Sikorski, history has shown that Russia has always initiated reforms and positive changes after terrible military defeats.

“This year is crucial for the war in Ukraine. I hope that Russia will not be rewarded for its actions. Putin's failure must be visible, and Russia must rid itself of its imperial notions,' said Sikorski.

The minister also emphasized that Putin violated international law and his obligations when he launched the invasion of Ukraine. Russia itself guaranteed the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Sikorski called on Putin to end the war and withdraw Russian soldiers from Ukraine.
