PSG have reduced the price for Donnarumma to £26m: goalkeeper agrees terms with Manchester City.
Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports, have lowered their price for Gianluigi Donnarumma after the goalkeeper agreed personal terms with Manchester City.
According to The Sun: Luis Enrique has sent Donnarumma, 26, into a shocking clearance just a few months after PSG's Champions League victory.
The Italian has yet to find a buyer, although he is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
However, Manchester City is closest to closing a deal amid doubts about Ederson's future.
The Brazilian is keen to move to Galatasaray.
And City is covering itself by striking a deal on personal terms with Donnarumma.
However, they have been reluctant to meet PSG's demands for their goalkeeper, who is in the last year of his contract.
Initially, Enrique's side offered £46 million for the ace.
But Fabrizio Romano claims they are now willing to accept just £26 million.
It remains to be seen if the deal will happen, as Donnarumma's future depends on the outcome of Ederson's Turkish transfer.
Manchester United and Chelsea were linked with Donnarumma earlier in this window.
However, the latter are keeping faith in Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen while highly-rated young player Mike Penders is also on loan at Strasbourg.
Donnarumma joined PSG on a free transfer from AC Milan in 2021.
He played 251 matches for his boyhood club before making his debut at 16.
Since then, Donnarumma has appeared 161 times for PSG, winning four Ligue 1 titles and last year's Champions League.
He also remains number one in the Italy national team after debuting in 2016 and currently has made 74 appearances.
With the signing of a deal between goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Manchester City, the price for the Italian goalkeeper playing for PSG has been reduced. The Paris club has lowered its demand for a player considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Donnarumma can now be purchased for £26 million, which is significantly less than the initial amount. The deal hinges on Ederson's subsequent transfer from Manchester City to Galatasaray.Read also
