Reporters from the Tuscola Sheriff's Office noted that police are working to obtain video footage of the accident, specifically from the trailer's cameras.

“Procedures are currently underway to obtain search warrants to find any videos,” one of the deputies said.

“If the [transportation] company agrees to cooperate, we may avoid a warrant.”

Details of the Accident

The deputy noted that there is no roadside surveillance, and the only possible video may come from the trailer's camera if it was recording.

The truck driver was arrested after being discharged from the hospital, and his passenger has not yet received any charges.

The driver's name is currently undisclosed, and he is awaiting a hearing on Monday, September 29.

The accident occurred when the trailer collided with the family’s SUV, likely due to running a stop sign.

Condition of the Survivors

As a result of the accident, Noah, Megan's son, and her 11-year-old niece Gia are in critical condition. The family used Sunday to share updates about their recovery through Instagram.

Noah has remained in a medically induced coma but has shown signs of responsiveness, which has given hope.

Gia underwent a craniotomy, and the family reported that the pressure in her brain has significantly decreased.

The family believes that God has a “purpose” through their trial and stated: “Even in the toughest moments, He is present, working in ways we cannot yet understand.”

A total of five members of the Putman family were involved in the accident.

Megan’s husband, Blake, and their other children, Lulu (13) and Alena (11), also received medical assistance.
