Horse Racing Legends Unite Against New Betting Tax
Racing legends have come together to urge Rachel Reeves not to introduce the new betting tax. Famous jockeys, owners, and trainers have supported the 'Save Our Bets' campaign, holding copies of The Sun newspaper in their hands. Among the participants were renowned trainers Nicky Henderson and Paul Nicholls, as well as popular jockeys Harry Cobden, Harry Skelton, and Nico de Boinville.“We cannot allow the new betting tax to harm players and the industry as a whole,” said one of the trainers.
According to The Sun: This initiative aims to protect racing fans and support their right to play without unnecessary financial hardships.
The intensifying issue of taxation in the betting sector highlights the importance of supporting traditional racing. The involvement of legendary figures in horse racing underscores the seriousness of the threat players may face if new taxes are implemented. They hope their voices will be heard, and a healthy atmosphere in the racing world can be preserved.
