On the morning of October 2, a powerful explosion occurred in temporarily occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region. According to Viktoria Halytsyna, head of the Berdyansk city military administration, a car burned down as a result of the explosion in the Lisky neighborhood.
Local residents reported a loud noise and a column of black smoke near the fish factory. Firefighters and Ukrainian occupiers arrived at the scene, Halytsyna reported.
The occupation authorities have not commented on the situation yet. "This is a typical tactic of the occupiers aimed at concealing the real state of affairs from the local population and the global community," she reminded.
The head of Berdyansk urged the city's residents to follow safety rules.
In May of this year, Russian invaders transferred a large amount of equipment from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation to the Berdyansk direction through Mariupol. An explosion also occurred then, which damaged the car of a local collaborator.
