Real will be forced to play long without one of its leaders.
England and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has undergone shoulder surgery. He will be sidelined for at least ten weeks.
The decision to operate was made long ago, but the player postponed it until the end of the season and the club's World Championship, Marca reports.
Arda Güler and Fede Valverde are being considered as temporary replacements. However, neither of them possesses the same creativity and drive that Bellingham brought to Real's game from the very start. The coaching staff will be looking for new options to plug the gap in the center.
According to Jude himself, the operation was 'inevitable'. He felt serious discomfort and could not play at full strength as he was protecting his shoulder in the last matches.
