Beyoncé's Record and Kendrick Lamar's Triumph. Grammy Award Winners Revealed.
The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony concluded in Los Angeles. The main winner was Beyoncé's album 'Cowboy Carter'.
The major awards went to the following artists:
- Best New Artist: Chappell Roan.
- Record of the Year: Kendrick Lamar – Not Like Us.
- Song of the Year: Kendrick Lamar – Not Like Us.
- Album of the Year: Beyoncé – Cowboy Carter.
- Best Country Album: Beyoncé – Cowboy Carter.
- Best Rock Album: The Rolling Stones – Hackney Diamonds.
- Best Pop/Vocal Album: Sabrina Carpenter – Short n’ Sweet.
- Best Dance/Electronic Album: Charli XCX – Brat.
- Best R&B Album: Chris Brown – 11:11 (Deluxe).
- Best Alternative Album: St. Vincent – All Born Screaming.
- Best Rock Performance: The Beatles – Now and Then.
- Best Country Duo/Group Performance: Beyoncé & Miley Cyrus – II Most Wanted.
- Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars – Die With a Smile.
- Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media (Film, TV): Hans Zimmer – 'Dune: Part Two'.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar was named the best artist of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2024 for his wins in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.
Beyoncé became the first black woman to win Album of the Year, 26 years after Lauryn Hill's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
This is also the first country album to receive the highest award since Kacey Musgraves' Golden Hour in 2019.
Beyoncé received 11 nominations this year, matching the highest number of nominations for a single album – Michael Jackson's Thriller. Her album Cowboy Carter and its singles were nominated in the categories 'Album of the Year', 'Best Country Album', 'Song of the Year', 'Record of the Year', and 'Best Country Song' (Texas Hold 'Em).
With wins in the categories of Best Country Album, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Album of the Year, Beyoncé improved her record during the '2025 Grammys' and now has 35 awards, surpassing the previous record set by herself.
Due to interesting nominations and awards gained, Billie Eilish gathered 7 nominations this year but received no Grammy awards.
Additionally, during the ceremony, at least $7 million was raised to assist the victims of the forest fire in Los Angeles.
Beyoncé is also a record holder of the Grammy awards throughout her career. She has received 32 awards, surpassing Georg Solti.
