Republicans Criticized Trump for Offending Harris.
During the election campaign of American President Donald Trump, he repeatedly insulted his rival Kamala Harris. This drew criticism from both Democrats and Republicans, reports The New York Times.
It is noted that the criticism was caused by a series of offensive statements by the former U.S. President, in which he called Harris "mentally deficient" and "mentally incompetent".
Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, said on CNN that, in his opinion, Harris's policies harm the country.
Larry Hogan, the former governor of Maryland, who also opposes Trump and is running for the U.S. Senate, considers these comments "insulting" both to Harris and to "people who truly have mental disorders".
At the same time, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, a Democrat, condemned the insults uttered by Trump.
"Every time he (Trump - ed.) says such things, he is actually talking about himself but tries to project it onto others," Pritzker said.
